COMPETENCE BUILDING FOR CONFLICT MANAGEMENT, Seminar for experts.
On 19 and 20 October, NITO/TEKNA/JUS, Standard Norge and Mekling.no arranged a seminar in Oslo to build and expand competence in conflict management, especially aimed at the building and construction industry.
The seminar included topics such as the scope of disputes in construction matters and the need to resolve them, the role of experts, mediation, being a co-judge and finally the use of PRIME. The course had very good and competent attendance and will hopefully contribute to more professionals and experts being able to sign on for such tasks.
I myself gave a presentation about mediation, both based on agreements between the parties and within the framework of court litigations. My presentation, so far in Norwegian, may be downloaded here.
